Description:
This is the newest award offered by WIT and is consistent with similar best manuscript awards offered by various Specialty Sections. The award is to highlight an outstanding manuscript demonstrating outstanding scholarship and impact in advancing an area within the science of toxicology.
The awardee will receive an engraved plaque and monetary award. The awardee will provide a webinar on the experience and the research work during the subsequent year.
Applicant SOT Membership Requirements:
This award requires the applicant to be both an active member of the Society of Toxicology (Associate or Full) and a member of the Women in Toxicology Special Interest Group
Other Requirements for Applicants:
- First or senior/corresponding author of the publication must be a WIT member.
- The manuscript must be published in the previous three years (e.g., for the 2025 award the eligible years include 2022–2024.
- The manuscript must be published in a journal related to toxicological sciences, new approach methods, risk assessment, or public and ecological health impacts.
- Narrative describing how this manuscript advances the science or application of toxicological sciences, including innovation and demonstrated impact – 3 pages maximum.
