Description:
The Toxicological Sciences Paper of the Year Award is presented to the author(s) of the selected paper published in the official SOT journal during a 12-month period, terminating with the June issue (i.e., the printed version of Toxicological Sciences) of the calendar year preceding the Annual Meeting at which the award is presented. The author(s) need not be a member of the Society of Toxicology. Submissions should include a one-page summary of the paper's contribution to the science of toxicology and the citation for the article for which the nomination is being made. Any member of the Society may submit one title for consideration. In addition, the Board of Publications will survey all eligible articles from Toxicological Sciences for consideration. Papers authored by current members of the SOT Board of Publications and SOT Council are not eligible for this award.
This award consists of a plaque for all authors and transmittal of a cash stipend to the first author.
Criteria for award:
- Significant contributions to toxicology as determined by the Board of Publications
- Paper published in Toxicological Sciences during a 12-month period, terminating with the June issue of the calendar year preceding the Annual Meeting at which the award is presented
- Member or non-member of the Society
