Description

The TAO Legacy Travel Award Endowment funds travel stipends to help domestic or international Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars of African origin attend the SOT Annual Meeting and advance their careers in toxicology.

Toxicologists of African Origin introduce its support for at least one (1) Student and at least one (1) Postdoctoral Fellow with travel awards to the Society of Toxicology Meeting Annual Meeting. These awards enable outstanding students and postdoctoral fellows showing great scientific promise to attend the SOT Annual Meeting. The awards provide assistance towards defraying the cost of travel expenses.

The applicant:

1. Must be a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow;
2. Must be an SOT member and TAO member (or application pending , but approved prior to the March meeting);
3. Must have an accepted abstract at the next upcoming SOT Annual Meeting;
4. Must submit a copy of the abstract, including SOT Abstract Number;
5. Must make a poster or platform presentation at the upcoming SOT Annual Meeting to receive the award.
6. Submit a letter of support from your advisor, preferably your current graduate or postdoctoral advisor.
