Before you begin your application, make sure you have an up-to-date resume or CV in PDF or Word format and review the SOT Membership eligibility requirements. Please note that all applications are evaluated by the SOT Membership Committee.

How Much Time Is Needed to Complete the Application?

The SOT membership application will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. If you aren't able to complete it all at once, you will be able to save your progress and continue editing your application until you select to submit it. 

What You Need to Apply

For Full or Associate Membership

• Links to your peer-reviewed publications or PDF copies of them (if you are applying for a Full Membership consideration based on peer-reviewed publications)
• Names and email addresses of SOT Full Members who will serve as your sponsors (not required for current Associate Members upgrading to Full Membership)

For Postdoctoral or Graduate Student Membership

• Name and email address of your academic advisor or mentor (your mentor is not required to be an SOT member)
