Description
The SESOT Student Travel Award is an award given to graduate student members in the Southeastern Regional Chapter of SOT. This award will be given to defray travel-related expenses for a student presenting a poster/oral presentation at the upcoming SOT Annual Meeting. To be eligible for this award: the student must be a member of SESOT and have a primary affiliation with an institution within the geographic region served by SESOT (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee). Registered students from other SOT Regional Chapters or students not currently registered as an SESOT student member are ineligible.
Students should upload their membership application (if not already a member), application materials, copy of accepted abstract, notice of abstract acceptance for the SOT annual meeting, applicant’s CV, and a letter of support from the applicant’s thesis advisor as a single PDF.
The winner of this award will receive up to $400 to be used for expenses relating to cost of attendance for SOT’s annual meeting (i.e. hotel, airfare, registration, etc). The award winner will be announced ahead of the meeting, and attendance at the meeting is mandatory upon acceptance of the award. The winner will additionally be honored with a certificate at the SESOT Social during the annual meeting.
