The Executive Committee of the Southeastern Region of the Society of Toxicology (SESOT) invites those in the Southeastern region to submit an abstract for either poster or platform presentation at the October 23, 2026 Fall SESOT Meeting at University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.

Abstracts submitted for presentations will be reviewed by the SESOT Executive Committee.

Awards will be given for best Undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, and Postdoctoral poster/platform presentations. New investigators are encouraged to present their research, but will not be considered for an award. The winners of the poster and platform competitions will receive a cash award to be presented at the SESOT Reception at the SOT Meeting in March. To be eligible for the poster and platform awards, the trainee must be a member of SESOT (undergraduate students are exempt from membership requirements; verification of membership will be requested before any funds are awarded).  

Please upload abstract in SOT APPLY using the SESOT Abstract Template. Abstract should use 11 Point Arial Font. No graphics or figures are allowed in the abstract. Do not exceed 4,500 total characters.  Abstracts describing the results of experimental studies must answer two questions (“What was done?” and “What was found?”) and must contain the following:

• A statement of the rationale and scope of the study presented 
• A brief description of the experimental procedures 
• The data that resulted from the study 
• The principal conclusion(s) based on interpretation of the results
