Description:

The competition for the Stem Cells Specialty Section Excellence in Research Awards for Students and Postdoctoral Fellows is now open. Submission requirements include:

  1. An extended abstract of the work to be presented at the Annual Meeting. The abstract must be no more than two single-spaced pages in length, including figures and figure legends.
  2. A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s advisor stating that the work was performed while the applicant was a student or postdoctoral fellow and describing the applicant’s role in the research project.
  3. Applicant must be first author on the abstract.
  4. Submission of the same work to more than one Specialty Section is permitted.

To be eligible, applicants must be members of the Stem Cells Specialty Section or have applied for membership, and their work must be relevant to stem cell toxicology. One awardee will be selected in each category (Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Researcher). Each awardee will receive a certificate of recognition and a $250 monetary award.

All application materials are due by January 31.
