Description:

The competition for the Stem Cells Specialty Section Excellence in Research Awards for Students and Postdoctoral Fellows is now open. This award is sponsored by Axion Biosystems and NeuCyte. The submission requirements are:

  1. An extended abstract of the work to be presented at the Annual Meeting. Abstract should be no more than two single-spaced pages in length, including figures and figure legends.
  2. A letter from the applicant’s advisor stating that the work was performed while the applicant was a student/fellow and detailing the role of the student/fellow in the research project.
  3. Applicant must be first author on the abstract.
  4. Submission of the same work to more than one Specialty Section is permitted.

To qualify, applicants must be members of the Stem Cells Specialty Section or able to show application for membership, and the work must be related to the field of stem cell toxicology. One 1st Place and one 2nd Place awardee will be selected for both the Graduate Student and the Postdoctoral categories. Awardees will receive a monetary award and a certificate of recognition. First place awards will be $250 and second place will be $100.

All application materials are due by January 7.
