Description
The Risk Assessment Specialty Section (RASS) will give a “Best Published Paper Advancing the Science of Risk Assessment Award” to the authors of a paper that illustrates techniques or approaches that are likely to significantly advance the science of Risk Assessment. The “Best Paper Award Committee,” which is composed of RASS executive committee members and volunteers, will screen, review, and score candidate award papers.
Candidate papers will be identified based on
- Papers nominated by RASS members (described below).
- Screening of papers published in the SOT’s official journal, Toxicological Sciences for the given award year.
Eligibility
This award is open to all SOT members. Candidate papers must have at least one SOT member as a co-author, and must be published in a peer-reviewed literature (in hard copy or online) between January 1 and December 31 of the year preceding the SOT Annual Meeting at which the award is presented.
Nominations
Only RASS Members are eligible to nominate papers. Nominations must include a complete citation or a copy of the paper.
Winner Receives
Achievement plaque to the first author. The first author will also receive a check in the amount of $250.
