Description:
The goal of the Dr. William M. Baird Travel Award Fund is to encourage the attendance of students, postdocs, and young investigators from the Pacific Northwest region to present their work at toxicology-oriented scientific meetings, such as the Annual Meeting of SOT. The award is to be used for travel-related expenses such as meeting registration, airfare, hotel, meals, etc. The amount is up to $750 per awardee and the number of awards will be decided based on the funds available and quality of the applications.
Applicants are eligible to apply for this award provided they: 1) Are a chapter member in good standing; 2) Have submitted an abstract for a platform or poster at the relevant meeting; and 3) Are not receiving any other travel award from SOT for the meeting. Application for PANWAT membership can be completed concurrently with application for the award. The application consists of your abstract and a form. One individual will not be eligible to receive two awards for the same research in the same year. Proof of abstract acceptance will need to be confirmed (via email) prior to receiving the award.
