Description
The Northeast Society of Toxicology is requesting nominations for the NESOT Annual Paper of the Year Award in recognition of an exceptional recent publication in toxicology by a trainee (graduate student or postdoctoral fellow). The applicant must be a member of NESOT and have a primary affiliation with an institution within the geographic region served by NESOT to be eligible for this award: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
To be eligible, the paper must have been published or in press in a peer-reviewed journal during the period of December 1, 2023 through November 30, 2024 and first-authored by the award applicant. The award consists of a certificate and a monetary honorarium of $1,000. The recipient will be announced at the NESOT reception at the SOT annual meeting and will be asked to give a 5-10 minute presentation on their work.
Applications will be judged on their logic and flow, hypothesis, approach, experimental methods or model, results, discussion, and overall manuscript quality.
