This award recognizes an early career scientist(s) who has made significant contributions to the field of metals toxicology.

Trainee(s) and scientist(s) with 10 or less years of continuous experience (at time of nomination) since the awarding of their terminal degree are eligible.

Selection of awardee will be based on excellence in metals toxicology in interdisciplinary research with other scientific disciplines.

The nomination should summarize the candidate’s scientific contributions, including originality, creativity, and impact, emphasizing interdisciplinary metals toxicology research

Nominations should include a cover letter from the primary nominator stating the qualifications of the nominee, the nominee’s most recent curriculum vitae, and a secondary letter of nomination from another individual. Nominees must be members of the Metals Specialty Section. Candidates can self-nominate.

An engraved plaque and a cash stipend will be presented at the Annual SOT Meeting. The number of awards given each year will be at the discretion of the Metals Specialty Section.
