Description
The Medical Device and Combination Product Specialty Section (MDCPSS) Early Career Achievement Award recognizes research accomplishments of young scientists in their early career. A committee appointed by the MDCPSS leadership will select up to two award recipients (one for undergraduate/graduate students and one for postdoctoral fellows/individuals with less than 5 years post-graduation experience) based on the scientific merit of a medical device or combination product-related abstract. The abstract must be based on the student’s research and must be accepted for presentation at the SOT Annual Meeting. To nominate for this achievement award, submit SOT notice of abstract acceptance, abstract, a letter of support from a supervisor/mentor, and a brief justification statement.
The Early Career Achievement Award recipient will receive a plaque and monetary award to help support travel to the SOT Annual Meeting, to be given at the MDCPSS reception held during the Annual Meeting. Each award recipient will give a 5-minute overview/presentation at the annual MDCPSS reception.
