Description
This award is made possible by the Health and Environmental Science Institute Immunotoxicology Young Investigator Award Fund of the SOT Endowment Fund. The nominees should be PhD candidates or within five years of receiving a PhD. The cash award will assist young investigators to attend the SOT annual meeting and present their research. Both US and international investigators are eligible and encouraged to apply. For full consideration:
- Applicants need not be ITSS members. However, those who are members or who are in the process of becoming members will be given preferential consideration.
- The original abstract submitted to the SOT Annual Meeting, and the nominee plans to attend the meeting. The abstract must be included in the application.
- A letter from current advisor and/or employer indicating the individual's contributions to Immunotoxicology (or a closely related discipline) and potential future contributions to the discipline.
- Up-to-date CV
- A personal statement letter from applicant on how attendance at SOT will contribute to their career development in Immunotoxicology.
Selection of the recipient will be made by the President, last three Past Presidents, the Vice President, and Vice President-Elect (Chaired by the President). An engraved plaque and cash award will be presented to the recipient of this award. An individual cannot be the recipient of this award more than once.
