DTSS is pleased to offer a $500 student travel award to attend the 2026 SOT Annual Meeting. The Research Institutes of Fragrance Materials (RIFM) is generously sponsoring the DTSS RIFM Trainee Travel. This Award recognizes excellence in research by student or postdoctoral trainee members of the Society of Toxicology (SOT). This award is based on scientific merit and outstanding demonstration of how the applicant’s work utilizes New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), advances exposure science, improves understanding of material composition, or contributes to dermal/skin risk assessment.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in toxicology (or related field) and/or post-doctoral fellows engaged in research activities in the field of dermal toxicology
- Applicants must be current members of the Society of Toxicology (SOT) at application deadline
- Applicant must be the first author of an abstract submitted and accepted for the upcoming SOT Annual Meeting
- Must be willing to give a 5–10-minute presentation of their work to the DTSS membership
Requirements:
- Copy of the complete abstract accepted by SOT
- Copy of the SOT email informing the acceptance of the abstract and the day and time of the presentation
- 1-page summary of their research derived from their accepted abstract
Award Recognition:
The recipient will receive a plaque of recognition and monetary award of $500, presented at the DTSS Annual Reception held at the Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Meeting.
