AACT offers student awards each year for presentations made at the SOT Annual Meeting. Three awards are given each year, with a plaque and monetary award for each ($500 first prize, $300 second prize, $200 third prize)

The requirements/criteria for the award include that the Applicant:

  1. Must be a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow of Chinese descent (having one or more parents of Chinese descent);
  2. Must be an SOT member and AACT-SIG member;
  3. Must not have already received an AACT-SIG award this year and can not be the winner of another AACT award in the next year

Submission requirements:

  1. Abstract, including SOT Abstract Number (Microsoft Word File)
  2. Letter of support from applicant’s sponsor indicating the role of the applicant and independence conducting the research
  3. Cover letter from the applicant outlining significance of work to field of toxicology
  4. Proof of abstract acceptance at the next upcoming SOT Annual Meeting. (This proof may be submitted after the award deadline, Dec 1, 2023, but no later than Jan 5, 2024. The other three items listed above must be submitted by January 5, 2024)
